Animaniacs – Yakko, Wakko and Dot are back! These three (well no one’s sure what kind of animals they are) are back in town! Animaniacs once dominated Saturday morning cartoons on the WB with their scandalous humor and pop culture references. They always felt like an adult cartoon, even more so now that they have been rebooted by Hulu! Get ready to laugh your tail off with these old friends.
Woke – An intriguing comedy about “wokeness” in America with a strange twist. An African-American (Lamorene Morris) cartoonist is violently arrested due to racial profiling, he starts hallucinating about random objects speaking to him. Each episode these inanimate objects hold dialogue about racial and social injustice. As odd as this concept sounds, the cast and plot allows viewers the opportunity to start conversations about equality after each episode.
Catch-22 – This limited series that brings the book’s famously anti-war message to life! You may have read this book in high school or college. This series has done an incredible job sharing the World War II epic comedy/drama to life. Captain John (Christopher Abbott) desperately wants to leave the war but either has to prove he’s clinically insane or try to leave and be forced to stay and fight. This adaptation of a classic book is wonderfully achieved by this Hulu original.
